The SystemsBehind the Strategy

Technology is not the product — the judgement is. But judgement without instrumentation is guesswork, and these are the instruments.

Short answer

What technology does Political Strategy Warfare use?

Political Strategy Warfare builds campaign technology around booth-level data: electoral roll and Form 20 processing, constituency dashboards, field-worker mobile reporting, message testing and social listening. Systems are operated for the campaign rather than sold as a product, and voter data is handled under Indian data-protection obligations with defined retention and deletion.

Principles

How we handle data

These constraints shape what we build and, more often, what we decline to build.

Client-owned data

The analysis, models and datasets produced in an engagement belong to the client. We do not hold campaigns hostage to their own data.

India-hosted

Client and citizen data is processed and stored on infrastructure within India, consistent with our DPDP Act obligations.

Auditable by design

Survey enumeration, consent capture and grievance closure all carry audit trails, because unverifiable process is indistinguishable from no process.

No third-party voter data purchase

We do not buy voter contact databases. Contact lists are built through recorded consent or supplied lawfully by the client.

Electoral Data

The public-record foundation beneath every model we build.

ECI Form 20 pipeline

Parsing and normalisation of booth-wise result sheets across cycles and states, including scanned formats.

Electoral roll analytics

Part-to-booth mapping, demographic structure and roll-change detection between revisions.

Census & SECC integration

Demographic and socio-economic overlays mapped to polling areas.

Delimitation reference

Boundary change tracking so historical comparisons remain valid across delimitation.

Research & Field

Instruments and controls that make field data worth analysing.

CAPI collection

Tablet-based interviewing with GPS and timestamp capture for audit.

Back-check protocol

Independent re-contact of a fixed share of interviews per enumerator, with discard rules.

Weighting engine

Post-stratification weighting to demographic and turnout benchmarks.

Sampling frame builder

Stratified sample construction from the electoral roll at booth-cluster level.

Campaign Operations

The systems that make a campaign legible to the person accountable for it.

Booth tracking dashboard

Per-booth coverage, committee status and target variance, updated daily.

Volunteer CRM

Role assignment, training status, activity logging and retention tracking.

Contact recording

Field app capturing every voter interaction against booth targets.

Polling-day turnout system

Hourly booth reporting with automatic variance alerts and reserve dispatch.

Digital & Monitoring

Detection fast enough to matter, in the languages that matter.

Multilingual social listening

Keyword and account monitoring across platforms in campaign languages and transliterations.

Claim verification workflow

Reverse image and media analysis with a documented verification trail.

Media monitoring

Print, broadcast and digital coverage with tone scoring and share of voice.

Consent management

Auditable opt-in records, purpose binding and immediate opt-out processing.

Governance

Tools that turn a term in office into a documented record.

Grievance platform

Multi-channel intake, routing, time-bound escalation and confirmed closure.

Delivery tracker

Commitment-level status with owner, timeline and documentary evidence.

Works documentation

Geo-tagged records of completed works for public reporting.

Scheme convergence database

Central and state programme mapping for fund leverage.

What we do not use

Deliberate omissions

A capability we could build but choose not to is a design decision, and worth stating plainly.

  • Purchased voter contact databases

Neither lawful in the way they are usually sold, nor reliable. Contact lists are built on recorded consent.

  • Automated account networks

Prohibited by our Code of Ethics and by every major platform.

  • Individual-level psychographic profiling

Disproportionate to the legitimate purpose and inconsistent with purpose limitation under the DPDP Act.

  • Surveillance tooling of any kind

Opposition research works from public record. It does not need anything else.
